An update of sorts:

So its been a while since i was last on here, but as usual mike prompted me to let the world know what i was up to, or rather, my guess is simply let him know whats going on. So mike, here it is:

Over the past 9 months i have been coaching the womens novice rowing team at Upper Arlington High School in Ohio, and after a rocky start in the fall as my team made up of nothing but freshman learned the ropes, we went into winter training looking strong, although few in numbers (at that point we had 9 total). By the time spring rolled around we were making huge strides on the water and before no time the races rolled around. At this point i was down to 6 rowers, and praying no one else got hurt or sick.
The first race we came out and won, much to my shock, beating some of the best boats in the midwest. We also won the next, and the next, and then both championships...............

On the triathlon front, My first race i DNF'ed due to a bike mechanical, then came back strong and finished 2nd at the Coffmann triathlon, 1st in the Budding TT the week after, and then 1st overall this past sunday in the Rudy Project triathlon.

Looking ahead i have the rockman half IM coming up on sunday, and a chance to see if i can put together a solid long course race after the poor showing and stomach issues of last year.

Two weeks ago i had the chance to go and work at the american TTT as the race photographer, and the photos can be seen on my photo blog here: www.davidsavoiesports.blogspot.com and on the triathlon website Triathlon shots here: http://www.triathlonshots.com/AmericanTTT.2009.html

In other news i am moving to Boulder CO for the summer after rockman, and will be there until the end of Aug, then back here to ohio for the fall and spring crew season, and finally back to boulder next may for good!

I think thats it for now.
